Planning Your Interdisciplinary Job Search
Hunting for a job within or beyond academia can itself be a full time job, especially when you’re also trying to finish your dissertation, take care of family and community responsibilities, teach your students, and figure out if you’re going to be moving across the country or globe in a few months.
Having a concrete plan and support system can mean the difference between burnout and thriving. In this workshop, you’ll put together that plan and support system so you can find and organize job opportunities, budget your time and finances, keep track of all your applications and materials, draw on your support team for more than letters of recommendation (but also those), and prioritize your health and wellbeing so you can build the career and life you want.
