Event: Writing for Non-Academic Audiences

Event: Writing for Non-Academic Audiences

May 30, 2017 News + Events

Writing for NonAcademic Audiences webinarIn academia, we strive to strengthen our writing, develop a regular writing practice, and write more productively. We focus deeply on scholarly writing in particular, crafting papers that are often accessible only to a select academic audience. This work is important and meaningful, but what if we want to write for a different audience? How can we learn to develop our writerly voice in new ways, reach non-academic audiences, and expand our career in new directions?

In this Rockstar-exclusive webinar led by Rockstar Coach Dr. Kate Drabinski, we will explore the power of public writing, what it entails, and how it can help us in our careers. Join us to learn all this, as well as what happens (and how to handle) when our public writing gets read, and even how to get paid for our words!

Note: This webinar is ONLY open to Grad School Rockstar Program or Dissertation Rockstar Bootcamp participants. If you’re not already enrolled, you can do so here and here.

Rockstars can register today to join us live on Tuesday, June 13, 12-1 pm EST
