Event Description:

For many of us, the need to bring our academic research and teaching into the public sphere has never felt so urgent. This call to take our work public can be tricky, though, especially when the voices out there are already cacophonous and institutional demands for engaged teaching and learning can feel like another in a long line of neoliberal assaults on communities cast as separate from our own and in need of salvation.

In this FREE webinar, Grad School Rockstar Program and Dissertation Rockstar Bootcamp coach Dr. Kate Drabinski will talk about the tricky business of public pedagogy from blogging and tweeting to service learning and social justice teaching with a particular focus on how to make sense of what “going public” can mean for our lives both inside and outside the academy.

Register now to join us live on Monday, February 27, 1–2 pm EST

or to access the video any time.

You can also check out our upcoming webinars as well as recordings of our past webinars on topics like Mapping Your Semester, Writing a Kick-Ass Book Proposal, Crafting Your Altac/Postac Career While in Grad School, and more!
